JTC Running Board members Doug Alred, Errol Daniels, Larry Roberts and Doug Tillett were among attendees at meeting Aug. 6 to hear and comment on the preliminary findings of a study to identify the safest routes for pedestrians and cyclists to use in San Marco and Riverside. Theodore Petritsch (at left) of consultants Sprinkle Associates explained maps depicting routes chosen as the best among currently available alternatives.
Much work remains to improve conditions for runners, walkers, and cyclists in Jacksonville, but efforts such as this are an important step in the right direction.
