About The Race: Begun in December 1977 as an English-style true cross-country race, our 5k competition for individuals and teams has become renowned for its unique, challenging course on the campus of Jacksonville University.

The Winter Beach Run in the second oldest running event in the Jacksonville area. From its beginning in 1976, the race has been very popular with runners and walkers because running on the beach is relatively unique to our area. Distance options this year are 10 miles or 5k and medals will be awarded to all finishers! Registration is at 1st Place Sports. Click HERE!
Bib pickup and day of meet registration will open at 8:30 am. First event will be at 10:00 am.

11:00 AM: 60m hurdles, 60m, 400m, 200m, 800m
Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, 19-35, 36-45, over 45
Entry to meet is free of charge to all pre-registered on-line participants.
Free on line registration will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, January 27.
Those not pre-registered will be charged $5.00 for day of meet registration.
Awards: Medals will be given to the top three in each age group for each individual event. All athletes age 12 and under will receive participation ribbons.

3:45 PM: 1600m, 100m, 400m, 800m, 200m, 3200m
Age Groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10,11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-20, 21-40, over 40
Entry to meet is free of charge to all pre-registered on-line participants. Please select Yes for all events that you may wish to enter.
Free on line registration will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 5th.
