The Fall 2016 Half Marathon Class is a 12-week
program preparing individuals to participate in a
half marathon this fall. The class starts on Thursday,
September 8, 2016 at 1st Place Sports, Town Center
Store (4870 Big Island Drive) at 6:30 PM (come prepared for a short run that evening).

The class can serve as a stepping stone for those planning to complete a marathon in December or January. The target half marathon is the Thanksgiving Distance Classic Half Marathon on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 2016. If not able to participate on Thanksgiving Day, a good alternate half marathon would be the Ameris Bank Jacksonville Half Marathon on December 18, 2016.

The 2016 running of the Guana Trail Races is open for sign up. Race day is December 4 this year and based on past experience it will sell out in November. Discounted fees are available through October 1 and JTC Running member discount is $4. Click HERE to enter. Click HERE for course map.

All Races will take place on the Bolles Upper school San Jose Campus 7400 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32217

Check-in will take place at the Bolles Baker-Gate Petroleum Company Track Facility

Races will start at 9 a.m. and run on a rolling basis:

Kindergarten, grades 1 & 2 – 400m grades 3 & 4 – 800m (.5 miles)

grades 5 & 6 – 1 mile

grades 7 & 8 – 1.5 miles

JTC Running active and prospective members will gather after the Festival of Lights 5k at the 1st Place Sports San Marco store for refreshments and good cheer. A special order holiday tree ornament will be for sale to members for $5.00 and given FREE to each new member joining the Club that night!
