No long-term contract is required. Amy Kitz noted we are not legally required to be ADA compliant. Board members indicated support for our website being ADA compliant. The board approved the additional monthly cost for Gifted Owl to provide the ADA compliant service.

Reports:

Community and Public Relations – Christy Astorga reported that, as planned, additional email blasts are being sent monthly. There was a runner of the month featured on Facebook last month.

In order to publish the club Newsletter in a timely manner, beginning in March, the deadline for articles will move from the 15th of the odd months to the 10th of the month. The goal will be for the newsletter to come out early in the even months. (A March 10th deadline will allow the newsletter to be published in the first week in April.)

Events and Membership – Larry Roberts reported that the membership now stands at 1,061; 70 of the new memberships came from people who signed up for the Last Gasp.

Finance – Amiee Cords reported that the 1099’s will be sent to the tax group shortly. The 990’s were filed last month.

Track Meet Series – Bob Jones said that he was in the final phase for planning the January meeting meet. He could use an additional volunteer or two. Registrations are pouring in for both the January and February meets. The track committee will be meeting next week. The committee will discuss holding a one-mile run on the Bolles track, maybe in July. The one-mile run could be a festival-type event or a traditional old- school mile run.

Bolles Wednesday Training Sessions – James Bryant said that everything is going well. He sent an email blast last month reminding JTC members to register for the 2024 track sessions. He hopes sending the reminder will increase the number of people who participate.  Larry Roberts suggested putting something in the next newsletter to remind people about the track workouts.

Last Gasp – Larry Roberts said 234 people registered for the event, an improvement over the 141 registrants last year.  It was a great race with perfect running weather and a full-house at the social event following the race.

IQ Fiber Winter Beach Run – Doug Tillett reported that that registration is open for the January 27th race. Larry Roberts shared that, for the first time in a long time, we have a title sponsor (IQ Fiber) for the Winter Beach Run.  IQ Fiber is paying $3,000 to be the title sponsor.
