The Emerald Trail Model Project will cover 1.3 miles from Stonewall Street to the south end of the existing S-Line section of the trail near Myrtle and Union Street West. City Councilwoman Lori Boyer is sponsoring a bill to provide the $3.7 million to design and build it. Council action is anticipated in May.
If all goes as currently planned construction of this segment could start within 10 months and be completed by the end of next year.
