Wednesday March 7th a group of distinguished runners were recognized for their contributions to Jacksonville’s premiere race, The Gate River Run. In a ceremony to honor the race’s “streakers,” those who have run in each Gate River Run, each streaker was recognized and awarded with a plaque.
The event was held in the Veteran’s Memorial Arena in conjunction with the opening of the new Gate River Run Hall of Fame. The streakers were also recognized by Mayor Curry, race director Doug Alred, and JTC Running president Larry Roberts.
