Over 200 turned out for National Running Day on Wednesday, June 1 for the fun run to benefit Marathon High, a local nonprofit program that challenges at-risk teens to train for a 13.1 mile half-marathon in order to develop positive futures. It was hot and humid but all enjoyed free beer, hot dogs and burgers after the run. A big thanks to 1st Place Sports for hosting the event and to their staff and other volunteers for grilling and serving!
JTC Running will match each entry fee donation to Marathon High.
Sixty smart and thrifty runners took advantage of joining JTC Running, or extending their current membership for 12 months at the special price of $9.95 for an individual or $14.95 for a family.
